Delhi, the 15th September, 2015
No.F.I6(458)/UD/W/2014/1014.—The following Recruitment and Promotion Regulations made by the Delhi
Water Board under clause (m) of section 109 read with sections 7 and 51 of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 (Delhi
Act. No. 4 of 1998), vide Chief Executive Officer orders dated llth September 2013, regarding the method of
recruitment and qualification necessary for appointment to the post of Chief Engineer (Civil) in the Delhi Water Board,
Delhi are hereby published below for genera! information, namely:
1. Short title and commencement .- (1) These regulations may be called the Recruitment Regulation for the post of
Chief Engineer (Civil), Delhi jai Board, 2015;
(2) They shall came into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.
2. Number of posts, classification and pay band and grade pay/scale of pay.- The number of posts, their
classification and Pay band and grade pay/scale of pay attached there to shall be as specified in Columns 2 to 4 of
the said Schedule annexed to these regulations.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualifications etc: -The method of recruitment to the said post, age
limit, qualifications and other matters relating therewith shall be as specified in columns 5 to 13 of the said
Schedule aforesaid.
4. Disqualifications: - No person-
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person;
Shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:
Provided that Delhi Water Board, may, after prior consultation with Government of N.C.T. of Delhi if
satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such persons and the other party to
the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation:
5. Regular service: - "Regular service" in relation to any grade means the period or periods of service in the grade,
rendered after selection, according to the prescribed, for long terms appointment to that grade and shall include any
period or periods during which an officer would have held a duty post in that grade but for his being on leave of
otherwise not being available for holding such post.
6. Power to relax:- Where the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is
necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order, for reason to be recorded in writing, and in consultation with the
Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these regulations with respect to any class or
category of persons.
7. Saving:- Nothing in these Regulations shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions
required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-serviceman and other special categories of
persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time in this regard.
8. Repeal:- On and from the date of commencement of these regulations the recruitment, regulations notified for the
post of Chief Engineer(Civil) vide notification no.F.16(127)/UD/W/2000/5931 dated thel9th April, 2002 shall stand
repealed.(cid:9) (cid:9)

maintenance of large water and sewage treatment
plant and of planning, designing and erecting of the
plants including laying of water drainage and
sewage works etc.
Note I: The Departmental Officers in the feeder
category who are in the direct line of promotion
will not be eligible for consideration for
appointment(cid:9) on(cid:9) deputation.(cid:9) Similarly,
deputationists shall not be eligible for
consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 2: [Period of deputation (ISTC) including
period of deputation (ISTC) in another Ex-cadre
post held immediately preceding this appointment
in the same or some(cid:9) other organization/
department of the Central Govt. shall ordinarily not
to exceed five years. The maximum age limit for
appointment by deputation (Including short-term
contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the

NOTIFICATION
Delhi, the 15th September, 2015
No. 22/13/2000/UD/PF/4163-73.-- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 347A of
the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (66 of 1957), Ms. Raj Rani Mittra, an officer of Delhi Higher Judicial
Service, was appointed as Presiding Officer of Appellate Tribunal constituted under sub-section (1) of section 347A of
the above said Act, by the Government on deputation basis for a period of one year with effect from 28-08-2014.
Now, the Government extends the deputation period of Ms. Raj Rani Mittra for the further period of six months w.e.f
29-08-2015.
