4G SATURATION PROJECT IN UNCOVERED VILLAGES IN BIHAR

Will the Minister of Communications be pleased to state:
(a) the number of uncovered villages identified under the 4G Saturation project for providing
mobile connectivity across the country, State/UT-wise;
(b) the number of mobile towers installed and the number of villages where 4G services have
been made operational under the project, State/UT-wise;
(c) the details of funds allocated and released for implementation of the project since its approval;
(d) the timeline fixed for completion of the project; and
(e) the steps taken by the Ministry to expedite connectivity in remote, border and aspirational
districts?

(a) to (e) Government has approved 4G Saturation Project to provide 4G mobile connectivity
in uncovered villages across the country including villages in remote areas, border areas and
aspirational districts. As on 28.02.2026, 14,301 towers have been made on-air under this project,
which has covered 21,384 villages. Funds of Rs. 9417.88 crore has been disbursed upto 28.02.2026
for 4G Saturation Project. State-wise number of mobile towers sanctioned, on-air towers and villages
covered under this project, as on 28.02.2026, is available on Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) website
