Shri Amarsing Tisso: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has achieved the targets fixed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G) during the last two financial years and the current financial year, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts of Assam have received allocations under the Scheme, if so, the details of houses sanctioned, completed and remaining incomplete therein, district-wise; and (c) the steps taken by the Government to ensure quality construction of houses under the Scheme? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. CHANDRA SEKHAR PEMMASANI) (a): The Ministry of Rural Development is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) with effect from 1st April, 2016. During this period, against the overall target of 4.95 crore houses, cumulative target of 4.18 crore houses have been allocated to the States/UTs, 3.92 crore houses have been sanctioned and 3.13 crore houses have been constructed. In the last two years and the current financial year (2026-2027 till date), 97.66 lakh houses have been sanctioned and 54 lakh houses have been conmpleted (inclusive of sanctions issued in previous years). (b): Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna-Gramin (PMAY-G) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme. Implementation of PMAY-G at ground level rests with the State Governments/UTs. Central targets under PMAY-G are directly allocated to the State/UT considering the State/UT as a unit. Further allocation of these targets to district, block and Gram panchayat is done by the respective State/UT Governments. Page 1 of 2Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao districts of Assam have received target allocations of 52,533 and 20,783 respectively under the Scheme. Some of which are as under: i. Timely allocation of targets to the States/UTs and release of adequate funds ii. Monitoring and supervision of the schemes on Dashboard iii. Regular review meetings with States/ UTs for progress update iv. Separate review of States with high targets v. Regular Workshops are conducted by the Ministry with the States/UTs vi. Continuous follow-up with States / UTs on providing land to landless beneficiaries of PMAY-G. vii. Rural Mason Training program, etc. ***** Page 2 of 2
