This is an answer to Unstarred Question No. 2211, asked by Smt. Sanjna Jatav to be answered on December 12, 2025, concerning additional fertilizer depots in Rajasthan. The questions asked whether farmers in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan travel long distances to get subsidized fertilizers and, if so, to provide details of additional fertilizer depots, cooperative centers, and online subsidy tracking systems set up in the district.
The Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers (Smt. Anupriya Patel) responded that the Department of Fertilizers ensures fertilizer availability at the State level, while assessment and distribution at the district level are handled by the State government. The State government of Rajasthan has reported that subsidized fertilizers in the Bharatpur district are distributed from Bharatpur, Hindon, and Alwar rake points, and authorized distributors supply fertilizers to retail outlets at the district, block, gram panchayat, and village levels, allowing farmers to purchase fertilizer from the nearest retail shop.

ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS
(SMT. ANUPRIYA PATEL)
(a) & (b) The mandate of the D/o Fertilizers is to ensure adequate availability of
fertilizers at State level. However, the assessment and distribution of fertilizers within
the State at district level is done by the concerned State government. Accordingly,
State government of Rajasthan has informed that in Bharatpur district, subsidized
fertilizers are distributed from the Bharatpur, Hindon, and Alwar rake points. All
authorized distributors supply fertilizer to retail outlets operating at the district, block,
gram panchayat, and even village levels. Farmers are free to purchase fertilizer from
any retail shop nearest to them.
