AGREEMENTS BETWEEN INDIA AND JAPAN

Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:-
(a) the details of agreement/contracts signed in the fields of
expanding cooperation in critical emerging technologies during the
visit of Prime Minister of Japan to India recently; and
(b) whether agreements including energy security, AI skills and
digital infrastructure have been also finalized and if so, the details
thereof?

1(a-b) At the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Prime
Minister Ms. Sanae Takaichi paid an official visit to India from 1-3
July, 2026. During the visit, various Memorandums of Cooperation
were signed between the two sides in the areas of critical emerging
technologies, energy security, AI skills, and digital infrastructure. In
addition, the two sides agreed upon Joint Statements to bolster
cooperation in the areas of Economic Security, Energy Resilience,
and Artificial Intelligence. The details of the Memorandums of
Cooperation and Joint Statements are placed at Annexure -A.

for Growth (CBG) of dairy cooperatives.
