and Agri-Business Centres scheme;
(b) if so, the details of the quantitative impact of this scheme during last three years, State-
wise particularly in Uttar Pradesh;
(c) the details of the average number of farmers covered under each active Agri-
Clinic/Agri-Business Centre during the last three years, State-wise, especially in Uttar
Pradesh;
(d) whether the Government has data regarding geographical distribution of these centres
and the employment that has been generated through them particularly in rural areas
such as Etah, Kasganj, Anola (Bareilly) and Jaunpur; and
(e) if so, the details thereof, district/parliamentary constituency-wise and if not, the
reasons therefor?

(a): The Government is implementing the programme, Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business
Centres (AC&ABC) under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Extension (SMAE), across the
country with the objective to promote entrepreneurship in agriculture among unemployed
candidates with desirable educational qualifications and supplement efforts of public
extension to increase agricultural production, promote advanced farming techniques and
increase farmers income. These Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres are providing
advisories and input services to the farmers to promote production and productivity leading
to increase in farmers’ income.
(b): A total of 14,294 candidates have been trained during the last three years of which
6,933 have established their agriventures which include 3262 trained candidates and 1533
ventures established in Uttar Pradesh. The details of programme during the last three
years, State-wise including Uttar Pradesh is given at Annexure-1.
(c): The details of the average number of farmers covered under each active Agri-
Clinic/Agri-Business Centre during the last three years, State-wise, especially in Uttar
Pradesh are given at Annexure-2.
(d) & (e): Geographical distribution of Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centres and the
