Shri Balashowry Vallabhaneni: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एव ं(cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण म(cid:287)ं ी be pleased to state: (a) the aims and objectives of Krishonnati Yojana, National Mission on Natural Farming and National Bee and Honey Mission; (b) the status of implementation of above schemes across the country since their launch, year- wise, State-wise and scheme-wise; (c) whether there are any plans to merge above schemes with PM-Krishi Vikas Yojana; and (d) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एव ं(cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य म(cid:287)ं ी (SHRI RAM NATH THAKUR) (a) & (b) Krishonnati Yojana (KY) is an umbrella Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare comprising several flagship interventions, including the National Food Security & Nutrition Mission (NFSNM), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), Sub-Mission on Agricultural Extension (SMAE), National Mission on Edible Oil-Oilseeds (NMEO-OS), National Mission on Edible Oil-Oilpalm (NMEO- OP), Sub-Mission on Seeds & Planting Material (SMSP), Digital Agriculture Mission, Mission for Atmanirbharta in Pulses, Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) and Integrated Scheme on Agricultural Marketing (ISAM). The overarching objective of Krishonnati Yojana is to promote holistic, sustainable and inclusive development of the agriculture sector by enhancing agricultural production and productivity, promoting quality seeds and planting materials, supporting crop diversification, horticulture and agroforestry, strengthening agricultural marketing and post-harvest infrastructure, facilitating digital agriculture and data-driven governance, extension services and markets, ensuring food and nutritional security. The details of implementation of Krishonnati Yojana is placed at Annexure I. The Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Mission on Natural Farming is being implemented since November, 2024 to promote natural farming across the country. Natural Farming (NF) is a chemical free farming, involving livestock (preferably local breed of cow) integrated natural farming methods and diversified crop systems rooted in the Indian traditional knowledge. It is aimed towards improving soil health and restoring ecosystems and reducing input cost to the farmer to achieve greater climate resilience. The objectives of the Mission are: -i. To promote nature based sustainable systems of farming, enhancing usage of on-farm made natural farming bio-inputs, to reduce dependency on externally purchased inputs and input cost reduction, to also improve soil health and have sustainable agriculture practices. ii. To popularize livestock (preferably local breed of cow) integrated agriculture-animal husbandry models. iii. To strengthen on-farm agroecological research and knowledge based extension capacities of ICAR institutions, KVKs, Agricultural Universities, etc. iv. To build upon the on-field experience of practicing Natural Farming farmers and scientific expertise to thereby evolve & improvise location specific NF package of practices for increased spread of NF. v. To establish scientifically supported common standards and easy farmer friendly certification procedures for naturally grown chemical-free produce. vi. To create and promote a single national brand for naturally grown chemical-free produce. The details of implementation of National Mission on Natural Farming is placed at Annexure II. The Government is implementing National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) for promotion of scientific beekeeping and holistic development of beekeeping sector across the country. The Mission aims to increase honey production and productivity, improve the quality and traceability of honey and other bee products, strengthen production and processing infrastructure, promote research, capacity building and entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities and augment farmers’ income by promoting beekeeping as a viable allied agricultural activity. NBHM is a demand-driven, project-based Central Sector Scheme under which financial assistance is provided to eligible implementing agencies as per the scheme guidelines. No State-wise allocation of funds is made under the Mission. The details of implementation of National Beekeeping and Honey Mission is placed at Annexure III.
