Shri Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) the details of the budget allocated and utilised under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) for the State of Maharashtra particularly for the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency during the last five years, years, State and district- wise; (b) the details and total number of the rural roads constructed under PMGSY, State and district-wise during the said period in the State of Maharashtra particularly in the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency; (c) whether the Government has achieved its objective of providing road connectivity to previously unconnected rural habitations under PMGSY; (d) if so, the details thereof including the number of habitations connected, State and district-wise; and (e) the details of the Central share of funds allocated under PMGSY during the said period for the State of Maharashtra particularly for the Dharashiv Lok Sabha Constituency, State and district- wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI KAMLESH PASWAN) (a): Under PMGSY, the funds for implementation of the schemes are released by the Ministry to the States/UTs as a whole and not district- wise. Further, the funds are released on the basis of works in hand, the progress achieved in the project and after due submission of necessary documents. The fund releases under PMGSY are through the SNA SPARSH system. The funds released and expenditure Page 1 of 3incurred by the state of Maharashtra, during the last five years and current year, are as under: - (Rs in crore) Financial Year Release Expenditure (including State Share) 2021-22 0.00 376.73 2022-23 742.995 1074.02 2023-24 1110.80 1507.37 2024-25 854.93 1524.10 2025-26 529.73 1402.23 2026-27 (as on 354.16 196.36 30.07.2026) (b): During the last five years, under various ongoing verticals of the PMGSY, a total of 850 road works covering a length of 6,013.83 km and 242 bridges have been constructed in the state of Maharashtra. During the last five years, under various ongoing verticals of the PMGSY, a total of 208 km road works and 15 bridges have been sanctioned, out of which 144 km road works and 9 bridges have been constructed in the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency. The State/UT-wise, District-wise and Parliamentary Constituency-wise details of rural road projects and the stages of construction under various verticals of PMGSY may be accessed at the programme website https://pmgsy.dord.gov.in/dbweb. (c) & (d): As on 30.07.2026, under PMGSY-I, out of total 1,63,275 sanctioned habitations, 1,62,845 habitations (99.7%) have been provided connectivity. The road works for providing connectivity to balance 401 habitations are at various stages of execution. Under PM JANMAN, 2797 roads works covering 7,984 km and 291 bridges were Page 2 of 3sanctioned to provide connectivity to 3211 habitations. Out of this, 675 road works covering a length of 3044 km have been constructed covering 780 habitations. Other roads works are in progress and at different stages of execution and are to be completed by March 2028. Under VVP-I, 113 roads covering 1,085 km and 35 bridges have been sanctioned to connect 137 habitations. Out of this, 10 roads covering 258 km have been completed. In September 2024, the Government of India launched PMGSY IV. The primary objective of PMGSY IV is to provide all-weather road connectivity to about 25,000 eligible unconnected habitations. Till date, 6752 road works of 19,643 km and 94 bridges have been sanctioned to provide connectivity to 7455 habitations. (e): The funds for implementation of the scheme are released by the Ministry to the States/UTs as a whole and not district-wise/Lok Sabha Constituency.
