SHRI BAPI HALDAR: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the amount (in Rupees) owed to States under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) as of January 2026, State-wise; and (b) the amount (in Rupees) owed to States under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) as of January 2026, State-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) since 25.06.2015 with an aim to provide all weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to all eligible urban beneficiaries across the country. The scheme period of PMAY-U has also been extended up to 30th September 2026 for completion of under-construction houses and release of funds through SNA-SPARSH module. Based on the learnings from the experiences of implementation of PMAY- U, MoHUA has revamped the scheme and launched PMAY-U 2.0 ‘Housing for All’ Mission with effect from 01.09.2024 for implementation in urban areas across the country to construct, purchase and rent a house by 1 crore additional eligible beneficiaries at affordable cost in next five years. Based on the project proposals submitted by States/UTs, a total of 125.15 lakh houses, including 13.67 lakh under PMAY-U 2.0, have been sanctioned by the Ministry, so far across the country. Of the sanctioned houses, 116.57 lakh houses have been grounded; of which 97.30 lakh are completed/delivered to the beneficiaries as on 02.03.2026. The total committed Central Assistance under the schemes is ₹2.09 lakh crores, of which ₹1.77 lakh crores have been released to the States/UTs, based on compliances submitted by them. The State-wise details of Central Assistance sanctioned and released under the scheme so far, is at Annexure-I. …2/--2- (b): The Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) was launched by the Central Government on June 25, 2015, for 500 cities (485 cities including 15 merged cities) across all States/UTs in the country. The major thrust areas of the Mission are water supply, sewerage & septage management, storm water drainage, green spaces & parks and non-motorized urban transport. Under AMRUT, ₹34,901 crore have been released, State/UT-wise details of which are given at ANNEXURE-II. No funds are being released under AMRUT now. Further, AMRUT 2.0 scheme has been launched on 01 October 2021 in all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs)/cities, enabling the cities to become 'self-reliant' and 'water secure'. *****Annexure I referred in reply to LSUQ No. 3231 due for 12-03-2026 State-wise details of Central Assistance sanctioned and released under the PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0, so far Financial Progress (₹ in Crore) Sr. Name of the Central Assistance No. State/ UT Sanctioned Released 1 setatS Andhra Pradesh 29,811.98 24,045.06 2 Bihar 6,908.45 4,651.96 3 Chhattisgarh 5,287.73 4,464.22 4 Goa 74.87 75.15 5 Gujarat 22,238.81 20,269.68 6 Haryana 2,432.36 1,739.48 7 Himachal Pradesh 244.89 227.00 8 Jharkhand 3,815.59 3,215.81 9 Karnataka 9,699.61 7,777.24 10 Kerala 2,701.35 2,500.01 11 Madhya Pradesh 16,605.09 15,878.19 12 Maharashtra 24,996.31 20,241.97 13 Odisha 3,587.74 2,790.27 14 Punjab 2,711.44 2,193.47 15 Rajasthan 6,503.47 5,595.87 16 Tamil Nadu 11,236.46 10,742.96 17 Telangana 6,426.14 3,973.48 18 Uttar Pradesh 33,261.91 29,146.67 19 Uttarakhand 1,219.67 1,113.11 20 West Bengal 10,081.05 8,921.18 Sub- total (States) 1,99,844.91 1,69,562.81 21 setatS tsaE htroN Arunachal Pradesh 318.38 212.09 22 Assam 2,959.82 2,502.61 23 Manipur 867.95 582.37 24 Meghalaya 124.38 76.70 25 Mizoram 611.46 520.36 26 Nagaland 521.87 443.36 27 Sikkim 5.88 7.09 28 Tripura 1,474.16 1,363.73 Sub- total (N.E.
