Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) the number of railway stations in Jaipur Division along with their
classified categories;
(b) the details of construction/development works being carried out and
the names of the respective railway stations of Jaipur Division under
the "Amrit Bharat Station Scheme" along with the estimated cost of
each work;
(c) whether the Government is contemplating to construct escalators
and other necessary facilities at Dausa and Bandikui railway
stations; and
(d) if so, the current status of these works and the time by when they
are likely to be completed?

So far, 18 stations have been identified for development under Amrit
Bharat Station Scheme over Jaipur division. The names of stations
identified for development under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in Jaipur
Division are Alwar, Asalpur Jobner, Bandikui, Dausa, Fatehpur Shekhawati,
Gandhinagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Khairthal, Naraina, Narnaul, Nim
ka Thana, Phulera, Rajgarh, Rewari, Ringas, Saganer, Sikar.
At Bandikui station, works of construction of new station building,
waiting hall, improvement of circulating area and toilets have been
completed and works of construction of foot over bridge, platform shelter,
improvement of platform surfacing, provision of lifts, etc. have been taken
up.
At Dausa station, works of improvement of station building, waiting
hall, circulating area, toilets and provision of platform shelters have been
completed and works of construction of new foot over bridge and provision
of lifts have been taken up.
Development / Redevelopment / Upgradation / Modernisation of
stations on Indian Railways is a continuous and ongoing process and
works in this regard are undertaken as per requirement, subject to inter-se
priority and availability of funds. The priority for development /
redevelopment / upgradation / modernisation of stations is accorded tohigher category of station over lower category of station while sanctioning
and executing the works.
Development / Redevelopment / Upgradation / Modernisation of
railway stations is complex in nature involving safety of passengers &
trains and requires various statutory clearances such as fire clearance,
heritage, tree cutting, air-port clearance etc. The progress also gets
affected due to brownfield related challenges such as shifting of utilities
(involving water/sewage lines, optical fiber cables, gas pipe lines,
power/signal cables, etc.), infringements, operation of trains without
hindering passenger movement, speed restrictions due to works carried
out in close proximity of tracks and high voltage power lines, etc. and
these factors affect the completion time. Therefore, no time frame can be
indicated at this stage.
