AROMA REVOLUTION POLICY

Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण मं(cid:287)ी be
pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government of Uttarakhand has taken an initiative to promote traditional
and aromatic farming through the "Aroma Revolution Policy 2026-36";
(b) if so, the details of the financial and technical assistance provided by the Union
Government to the State so far under this policy;
(c) the Central schemes being implemented for marketing, processing and value addition
of traditional crops in the hilly areas; and
(d) the future action plan to increase the income of small and marginal farmers of
Uttarakhand?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE

(a): As per information furnished by Government of Uttarakhand, the Government of
Uttarakhand has approved the Uttarakhand Mahak Kranti Niti (2026–36) on 23 September
2025 to promote aromatic farming.
(b): Mahak Kranti Niti is state sponsored Scheme, therefore, no financial and technical
assistance has been provided by the Union Government to the State Government.
(c): The following schemes are implemented by Department of Agriculture and Farmers
Welfare for marketing, processing and value addition of traditional crops in the hilly areas-
1. Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)
2. Formation and Promotion of 10,000 new Farmer Producers Organizations
(FPOs)
3. National Bee Keeping and Honey Mission (NBHM)
4. National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF)
5. National Food Security and Nutrition Mission (NFSNM)
6. Integrated Scheme for Agriculture Marketing (ISAM)
7. Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH)
8. Parampragat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY)
9. Integrated Scheme for Agricultural MarketingBesides National Mission on Oilseeds (NMEO-OS) & Mission for Atmanirbharta in
Pulses support local value addition units.
(d): Government of India is implementing a comprehensive range of Central Sector as well
as Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes for the welfare of farmers in the country,
including Uttarakhand. The various schemes/programmes of the Government of India meant
for the welfare of farmers, increasing production, remunerative returns and income support
to farmers including small and marginal farmers, are as below
1. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)
2. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY)
3. Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA)
