Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has provided central assistance to
the State of Odisha under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural
Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) during the last
two financial years, i.e. 2023–24 and 2024–25;
(b) if so, the details of such central assistance released during the
above period, year, scheme and component-wise;
(c) the details and total allocations, expenditure and person-days
generated under various MGNREGS components during the
above period, year and district-wise particularly for Bargarh
and Jharsuguda;
(d) the details and total number of labourers and workers engaged
under MGNREGS in the above districts during the last two
years; and
(e) whether the Government proposes to enhance fund flow or
undertake special initiatives in backward districts of western
Odisha under MGNREGS, if so, the details thereof, district-
wise?

State of Odisha under Mahatma Gandhi NREGS during the last two
financial years, i.e. 2023-24 and 2024-25 is given at Annexure-II.
(e): Under the scheme, funds release to States/UTs is a
continuous process, and the Central Government is committed to
making funds available to States/UTs for the implementation of the
scheme as per the demand for work on the ground.

Ministry of Finance as and when required for meeting the demand
for work on the ground. In the FY 2025-26 (as on 04.12.2025),
99.87% of the eligible rural households have been offered

It is also submitted that there is no separate provision
for district-wise/ region-wise release of funds under the scheme.
States are empowered to plan and prioritise works as per local
needs, and the Ministry regularly reviews progress with the State
Government to ensure effective implementation of the Scheme.
