Shri Mohibbullah: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) the total number of houses sanctioned under PMAY-G in Uttar Pradesh; (b) the total number of beneficiaries received housing assistance under PMAY-G in Uttar Pradesh; (c) the steps taken by the Government to address the housing shortage in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in rural areas; and (d) the total fund utilised under PMAY-G in Rampur district? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. CHANDRA SEKHAR PEMMASANI) (a) to (c): In order to achieve the objective of "Housing for All" in rural areas, the Ministry of Rural Development is implementing Pradhan MantriAwaasYojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) with effect from 1st April, 2016 to provide assistance to eligible rural households for the construction of pucca houses with basic amenities. The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal for the continuation of PMAY-G during FY 2024-25 to 2028-29 for the construction of 2 crore additional rural houses. As on 04.12.2025, a total target of 4.14 crore has been allocated by the Ministry, out of which more than 3.86 crore houses have been sanctioned by States/UTs and more than 2.91 crore houses have been completed. Further, a total target of 36,85,704 houses has been allocated to the State of Uttar Pradesh under PMAY-G, out of which 36,56,002 houses have been sanctioned and 36,41,147 houses have been completed as on 03.12.2025. In accordance with the approval of the Union Cabinet for the continuation of PMAY-G during FY 2024-25 to 2028-29, a new survey is also being conducted for the identification of additional eligible households by the States/ UTs using e-KYC face based Page 1 of 2authentication through the Awaas+ 2024 mobile app and with modified exclusion parameters. (d): Central Assistance under PMAY-G is released directly to the State/Union Territory (UT) considering the State/UT as a unit.
