Nano Fertilizers manufactures informed that Nano-fertilizers are supplied/distributed in
Andhra Pradesh through an established distribution network comprising cooperative
institutions, private retailers, and company-operated outlets. All nano-fertilizer manufacturers
also distribute their products through cooperative societies (including MARKFED), private
fertilizer retailers, and IFFCO Bazar retail outlets across the State. In addition, nano-fertilizers
are supplied through the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s designated nodal agency, AP
MARKFED, and are made available to farmers at the village level through the Department of
Agriculture’s Rythu Seva Kendras (RSKs). During FY 2025–26, a total of 1,189 channel
partners have been engaged in the delivery of nano-fertilizers to farmers in Andhra Pradesh.
Further, manufacturers are actively working with the farming community through company-
operated retail outlets, including Mana Gromor Centers. During the current financial year, 460
such retail centers have been involved in the distribution of nano-fertilizers in the State. Nano
fertilizers manufacturers maintain a well-established distribution system to ensure timely and
convenient availability of nano-fertilizers to farmers through nearby fertilizer outlets.
(c) To promote the proper and efficient use of nano-fertilizers in Andhra Pradesh, a
comprehensive set of awareness, training, and demonstration activities has been undertaken
by the State Government and nano-fertilizer manufacturers during FY 2023–24 to FY 2025–
26 (till 31.01.2026).-3-
During 2025–26, the Government of Andhra Pradesh have organized 268
demonstration plots to test and showcase the effectiveness of Nano Urea and Nano DAP. The
results from these plots will be analyzed after the completion of the crop harvest to assess their
impact on yield and fertilizer efficiency.
Nano-fertilizer manufacturers have organized large-scale farmers’ meetings, including
PM-PRANAM Kisan Goshthis and Kisan Sangoshthis (crop seminars), along with Nano DAP
seed treatment demonstrations, agro-climatic zone-wise trials, and seasonal field
demonstrations across villages. These programmes involve scientists and crop experts from
KVKs and ANGRAU to guide farmers on nutrient use efficiency and the proper application of
Nano DAP and Nano Urea. Also conducted capacity-building initiatives such as retailer and
channel partner training programmes, farmer field and Government seed demonstrations in
coordination with Municipal Agriculture Officers/Assistant Directors of Agriculture/ District
Agriculture Officers and KVK scientists, field days, participation in exhibitions, Kisan Melas,
and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaigns. Nano-fertilizer manufacturers have also
strengthened outreach and awareness efforts through village-level publicity using mobile vans,
wall paintings, hoardings, display stalls, distribution of subsidized manual sprayers, TV
campaigns, digital promotions on social media platforms, and dissemination of literature in the
local language to encourage the partial replacement of conventional fertilizers with nano-
fertilizers.
(d) Nano fertilizers Manufactures like IFFCO and CIL have informed that adoption levels
and outcomes have been qualitatively assessed through farmer interactions and the collection
of farmer testimonials across the state. Feedback from users has been positive, with farmers
reporting satisfaction with product performance and willingness to continue and repeat usage.
National Productivity Council (NPC) of India has undertaken a study of Nano Urea on
"Evaluating Efficacy, Utility and Impact of Nano Urea in comparison to Conventional Urea” in
10 States including Andhra Pradesh.
