Rakibul Hussain: Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has assessed the adequacy of AYUSH healthcare infrastructure in the State of Assam, particularly in rural, char, tea garden and flood-prone areas, if so, the details thereof; (b) the details of AYUSH hospitals, dispensaries and AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres /Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) Centres sanctioned, established and made functional in Assam as on date, along with details of such institutions that remain non-functional or partially functional, district-wise; and (c) the total number of sanctioned posts of AYUSH doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other paramedical staff in Assam and the number of such posts lying vacant for more than one year, category-wise and district-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) & (b) Public health being a State subject, the primary responsibility of establishment/functionality of Ayush health facilities and to assess the adequacy of Ayush healthcare infrastructure in the State of Assam, particularly in rural, char, tea garden and flood-prone areas lies with respective State Government. As reported by the State, the district-wise details of functional Ayush hospitals, dispensaries and Ayush Health & Wellness Centres now renamed as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (Ayush) [AAM (Ayush)] in Assam as on date which have also been supported under National Ayush Mission (NAM) is furnished at Annexure. (c) Public Health being a State subject, the primary responsibility for sanctioning of posts of Ayush doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other paramedical staff in Assam and maintaining data of category-wise and district-wise number of such posts lying vacant for more than one year, comes under the purview of respective State Government.
