Ayush Hospitals in Maharashtra
1126 Dr. Ajeet Madhavrao Gopchade:
Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
(a) whether an Ayush hospital is being sanctioned in Nanded district Maharashtra, if so, the
hurdles for beginning the construction work of the proposed Ayush hospital;
(b) whether the district administration and the State Governments are expediting the process of
completing the Ayush hospital at Nanded in case it is sanctioned and the relevant papers are
complete as per the law;
(c) the timeline for completion of the aforesaid Ayush hospital in Nanded; and
(d) the district-wise list of Ayush Hospitals in Maharashtra and whether a scope exists for
establishing 2-3 Ayush hospitals in Nanded district?
ANSWER

(a) & (b) As per the proposal received from the State Government of Maharashtra through
State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) under National Ayush Mission (NAM), one 30 bedded
Integrated Ayush Hospital (IAH) in Nanded district has been approved during the year 2025-
26. As reported by State Government of Maharashtra, process of Administrative Approval by
department is initiated on 02.02.2026 and the land records as well as the Detailed Project
Report (DPR) have been submitted by the Civil Surgeon, Nanded, as per NAM guidelines to
expedite the process of completing the IAH at Nanded.
(c) As implementation of the Scheme comes under the purview of respective State
Government, no specific timeline has been fixed by Ministry of Ayush, Government of India
for completion of the proposed IAH in Nanded district, Maharashtra.
(d) Public health being a State subject, the primary responsibility to establish Ayush
Hospitals in Nanded district lies with respective State Government. The District-wise list of
approved IAHs in Maharashtra under NAM is furnished at Annexure.
