Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has renamed AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres as "Ayushman
Aarogya Mandir" and if so, the details thereof along with the objectives and the benefits thereof;
(b) whether AYUSH medical facilities have been set up in Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community
Health Centres (CHCs) and district hospitals under Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency and if so, the
names of institutions where the said facilities have been started;
(c) whether the Government is setting up 10, 30 and 50 bedded integrated AYUSH hospitals and if so,
the details thereof along with the details of such hospitals proposed to be set up in
Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency;
(d) whether new AYUSH colleges are being set up in various States and if so, the details thereof,
State/UT-wise, particularly in Nagpur district; and
(e) the details of the AYUSH colleges proposed to be set in Nagpur district and the details of financial
assistance granted under AYUSH Jan Swasthya Kaaryakram over the last five years,

(a) Yes. The main objectives and the benefits of AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres now renamed
as Ayushman Aarogya Mandir (Ayush) is to establish a holistic wellness model based on Ayush
principles and practices, to empower masses for "self-care" to reduce the disease burden, out of
pocket expenditure and to provide informed choice to the needy public
(b) Yes. As reported by State Government of Maharashtra, the following 08 Ayush medical facilities
have been set up in CHCs and District Hospital in Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency:
i. Women Hopital, Daga
ii. Sub District Hospital, Ramtek
iii. Sub District Hospital, Kamptee
iv. Rural Hospital, Kalmeshwar
1v. Rural Hospital, Umred
vi. Rural Hospital, Katol
vii. Rural Hospital, Narkhed
viii. Rural Hospital, Hingana
(c) Public Health being a State subject, setting up of Integrated Ayush Hospitals in the country
including Ramtek Parliamentary Constituency comes under the purview of respective State/UT
Government. However, under NAM, there is provision of financial assistance to the State/UT
Governments for the establishment of 50/30/10 bedded Integrated Ayush Hospitals. As reported by
State Government of Maharashtra, one 50 bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital is approved at Nagpur
under NAM in Ramtek Lok Sabha Constituency.
(d) Public Health being a State subject, the primary responsibility to establishing new Ayush
Educational Institutions lies with the respective State/UT Governments. As reported by State
Government, Medical Education & Drugs Department, Government of Maharashtra has given
approval for following 05 new Government Ayush Colleges in the Maharashtra:
i. Government Unani College and attached Hospital, Mhasala, District Raigad
ii. Government Ayurved College and attached Hospital, Kagal, District Kolhapur
iii. Government Yoga & Naturopathy College and attached Hospital, Uttur Ajra, District
Kolhapur
iv. Government Homoeopathy College and attached Hospital, Kagal, Distirct, Kolhapur
v. Government Ayurved College and attached Hospital, Jalgaon Jamod, District Buldhana
State Government also informed that no new Government Ayush College proposed in Nagpur
District.
(e) Further, as reported by State Government, over the last five years State Government of
Maharashtra has not received financial assistance under AYUSH Jan Swasthya Karyakrama for
Government Ayush Colleges.
