Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state;
(a) the outcomes achieved in facilitating investment through platforms such as AYUSH
Invest Saarthi;
(b) the details of operational projects, participation of micro, small and medium enterprise
(MSMEs) and employment generation thereunder;
(c) the major countries contributing to foreign direct investment (FDI) and research and
development (R&D) collaboration in the AYUSH sector;
(d) whether there has been an increase in exports of AYUSH medicines and products under
the AYUSH Invest Saarthi Platform; and
(e) if so, the details of the major countries importing AYUSH medicines and products under
the said platform?

(a) to (e) A statement is laid on the Table of the House.The Statement referred in reply to Rajya Sabha Starred Question No.34 for 03.02.2026
(a) Ministry of Ayush has launched Ayush Nivesh Saarthi portal on 29th May 2025 which aims
to boost traditional medicine systems as a strong economic sector of the country. The portal
has acted as a comprehensive investment facilitation platform, promoting opportunities in
Ayush sector. It serves as a global hub for information related to trade in medicinal plants,
derivatives & extracts and supports the growing export market for Ayush products encouraging
research and development as well as collaborations between industry and academia.
Through Ayush Nivesh Saarthi Portal, Ministry of Ayush has consolidated existing policy
frameworks & incentive structures, showcased investment ready projects and facilitated real
time investor engagement under one unified interface.
(b) The Ayush Nivesh Saarthi Portal is primarily an investment facilitation and information
dissemination platform, while it does not directly implement or monitor operational projects,
the portal provides information and guidance to a wide range of stakeholders, including Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), by showcasing investment opportunities, relevant
policies, schemes and Ayush Statistics.
(c) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) up to 100% is permitted through the automatic route in
the Ayush sector, encouraging global investment. Majorly FDI in Ayush sector has been
received from countries like Mauritius, Singapore, France and Malaysia.
Ministry of Ayush has signed 27 Country to Country MoUs for Cooperation in field of
Traditional Medicine, 54 Institute to Institute level MoUs with foreign institutes for
undertaking Collaborative Research/Academic collaboration. The details are attached at
Annexure-A and Annexure-B respectively.
(d) & (e) The Ayush Nivesh Saarthi Portal serves as an investment facilitation and trade
promotion platform. While the portal itself does not directly track or attribute export figures to
individual transactions, its launch has strengthened visibility of the Ayush sector in global
markets and supported exporters through dissemination of country-wise market intelligence,
standards, and incentive schemes. Major importing countries of Ayush medicines and
products, include the United States of America, European Union countries, United Arab
Emirates, France, Russia, UK, and South-East Asian nations as per data available with
Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI&S), Ministry of
Commerce and Industry.Annexure-A
