Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) the number of super specialty AYUSH hospitals or healthcare centres sanctioned under
National AYUSH Mission (NAM) in the country, State/UT-wise and district-wise of
Rajasthan;
(b) the number of projects sanctioned, funds sanctioned, allocated and utilized under NAM
for the areas falling under Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha constituency;
(c) the details of the hurdles which came up in setting up and making these centres
operational and the steps taken by the Government to overcome these hurdles;
(d) whether there is a proposal for expansion of AYUSH super specialty facilities in the
border areas like Barmer-Jaisalmer in future; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH
(SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a) to (e) Public Health being a State subject, sanctioning of super specialty AYUSH
hospitals or healthcare centres comes under the purview of the respective State/UT
Governments including Rajasthan. However, Ministry of Ayush is implementing the
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the National Ayush Mission (NAM) through States/UTs
including Rajasthan and providing financial assistance to them for overall development and
promotion of Ayush systems as per the proposals submitted by them through their State
Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). Under NAM, there is provision of financial assistance to the
State/UT Governments for the establishment of new 50/30/10 bedded Integrated Ayush
Hospitals (IAHs) including Barmer-Jaisalmer Lok Sabha constituency and accordingly State
Government may avail financial assistance by submitting suitable proposals through SAAPs.
As per the proposals received from State/UT Governments including Rajasthan throughSAAPs, the Ministry of Ayush has approved 203 units of IAHs in the country including
Rajasthan from 2014-15 to 2024-25. The State/UT-wise and district-wise status of approved
IAHs along with funds sanctioned/allocated and utilized is furnished at Annexure. Further,
as per the proposals received from State govt. of Rajasthan through SAAPs, 1 unit of
Integrated Ayush Hospital have been supported in Gira, Barmer District and as reported by
State Government of Rajasthan, total Rs. 45.0 lakh has been approved and Rs. 18.60 lakh has
been utilized.
Further, Public Health being a State subject, the primary responsibility for expansion
of Ayush super specialty facilities and resolving the hurdles which came up in setting up and
making these centres operational lies with the respective State/UT Governments including
Rajasthan. In the border areas like Barmer-Jaisalmer, no such proposal have been received
from State Government of Rajasthan through SAAP in the financial year 2025-26 for
establishing of Integrated Ayush Hospitals (IAHs) .
