These reviews assess the implementation progress of services provided by AAM Ayush, which aim to establish a holistic wellness model based on Ayush principles. Evaluations have observed an increase in beneficiary footfall following the upgrade of dispensaries/sub-health centers to AAM Ayush. This increase is attributed to the provision of additional services such as Prakriti Parikshan, yoga activities, and awareness programs on medicinal plants, alongside standard OPD services.
Visiting teams have suggested that State/UT Governments provide appropriate training and capacity building for AAM Ayush teams, strengthen referral linkages with other public health facilities, and involve field-level workers (ASHAs) to improve the outcomes of activities conducted through AAM Ayush.

(a) the total number of Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM) established in Jammu and Kashmir since
its inception till date under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM);
(b) the total number of beneficiaries benefitted from the said centres as on date;
(c) whether the Government has carried out any evaluation of the impact of these centres on public
health;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the major findings of such evaluation and the various steps taken by the Government to enhance
the effectiveness of AYUSH services?

(a) Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM), as per the proposals
received from UT Government of Jammu and Kashmir through their State Annual Action Plans
(SAAPs), 523 units of existing Ayush Dispensaries have been approved to be upgraded as Ayushman
Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [AAM (Ayush)] since its inception to till date.
(b) As reported by UT Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the total number of 92,86,448
beneficiaries availed the services through these AAM (Ayush) as on date.
(c) to (e) Yes. There are third party review and also NABH assessment besides visit by the Central
team in different States/UTs to review the implementation progress of different activities/services
being provided by established AAM (Ayush) which were approved with an objective to establish a
holistic wellness model based on Ayush principles and practices focusing on preventive, promotive,
curative, rehabilitative healthcare by establishing integration with existing public healthcare system
to provide informed choice to the needy public by making Ayush services available in a team based
approach.
It has been observed by visiting teams that footfall of the beneficiaries visiting to the AAM
(Ayush) has been subsequently increased after upgradation of Ayush Dispensaries/Sub health centers
into AAM (Ayush) because in addition to OPD services, these facilities are also providing various
other services like Prakriti Parikshan, Yoga related activities at the level of facility as well as
community, awareness about uses of common medicinal plants etc. Further, State/UT Governments
have been suggested by the visiting team for appropriate training & capacity building of AAM
(Ayush) team, strengthening of referral linkages with other public health facilities, effective
involvement of field level workers specially ASHAs etc. for better outcome of the activities being
conducted through AAM (Ayush).
