BENEFICIARIES OF AIF IN MADHYA PRADESH
5139. SMT. ANITA NAGARSINGH CHOUHAN:
Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is running the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme
with the objective of developing agricultural infrastructure, increasing storage capacity and
providing better marketing facilities to the farmers;
(b) if so, the number of projects sanctioned so far in Madhya Pradesh under the said
scheme;
(c) whether projects have been sanctioned for the development of storage of agricultural
produces, cold storage, processing units and agricultural logistics infrastructure in the
Ratlam-Jahabua-Alirajupur region fallings under Parliamentary Constituency No. 24,
Ratlam;
(d) if so, the details of the projects sanctioned in the said area and the benefits received
by the farmers from the said projects; and
(e) if not, whether the Government proposes to accord to the new projects related to
agricultural infrastructure in the said area in the future?

(a): Yes Madam. The Government is implementing Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)
with the objective of developing agricultural infrastructure, increasing storage capacity and
providing better marketing facilities to the farmers.
(b): The details of projects sanctioned in Madhya Pradesh under AIF is given at
Annexure-I.
(c) & (d): Yes Madam. The details of projects sanctioned for the development of storage of
agricultural produces, cold storage, processing units and agricultural logistics infrastructure
in the Ratlam, Jahabua, and Alirajupur districts falling under Parliamentary Constituency
No. 24, Ratlam, is given at Annexure-II. AIF projects in the area reduce post-harvest losses,
improve marketing and logistics infrastructure, generate rural employment etc. leading to
better price realisation for farmers.
(e): AIF is a demand-driven financing facility. Eligible beneficiaries may avail assistance for
agricultural infrastructure projects, which are considered based on their eligibility and viability
in accordance with the scheme guidelines.ANNEXURE-I
