SHRI DEVESH SHAKYA: Will the Minister of FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING मत्स्यपालन, पशुपालन और डेयरी मंत्री be pleased to State: (a) the details and the number of dairy farmers, cattle rearers and Farmer Producer Organisations/Farmer Cooperative Organizations (FPOs/FCOs) of Etah, Kasganj, Aonla, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etawah and Auraiya districts of Uttar Pradesh that received direct benefits under the National Mission on Cow and Buffalo Productivity, National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) and National Animal Disease Control Program (NADCP) during the last three years; (b) if so, the details of vaccination number of Artificial Inseminations (Al), increase in milk production and expansion of animal health services district-wise; and (c) whether any additional proposals under consideration for the establishment of mobile veterinary units, milk quality testing laboratories and new dairy infrastructure in these districts are under consideration of the Government? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING (SHRI RAJIV RANJAN SINGH ALIAS LALAN SINGH) (a) and (b) The benefit of the schemes being implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Government of India namely Rashtriya Gokul Mission, National programme for Dairy Development and National Animal Disease Control Programme is accruing to 8.5 crore dairy farmers including dairy farmers of Farmer Producer Organisations/Farmer Cooperative Organizations (FPOs/FCOs) in Etah, Kasganj, Aonla, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Etawah and Auraiya districts of Uttar Pradesh. The details of vaccinations and artificial inseminations carried out in these districts during the last three years is given at Annexure-I. Under the National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD) till date 11520 farmers/ milk producer farmers have been enrolled under NPDD component A. In order to expand animal health services, Government of India has inducted Mobile Veterinary Units (MVUs)in all the districts at the rate of one MVU per lakh livestock population. The district-wise number of MVUs operating is given at Annexure-II.With the implementation of schemes by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India and other measures undertaken the overall productivity of bovines in Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a remarkable increase, the average productivity has risen from 4.03 kilograms per animal per day in 2014–15 to 5.32 kilograms per animal per day in 2023- 24, registering a overall growth of 32% growth. Specifically, the productivity of indigenous and non-descript cattle has improved from 2.6 kilograms per animal per day in 2014–15 to 4.18 kilograms per animal per day in 2023–24, marking increase of 60.76 %. As a result, in Uttar Pradesh total milk production has grown from 23.19 million tonnes in 2014–15 to 37.45 million tonnes in 2023–24, reflecting an impressive 56.62% increase during the last 10 years.
