GANAPATHY RAJKUMAR P: THIRU THANGA TAMILSELVAN: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण मं(cid:287)ी be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that Union Government is implementing the PM Agricultural Assistance Scheme to help farmers across the country during the cultivation season; (b) if so, the details thereof along with the total amount being paid to farmers during the last three years, year-wise; (c) the total number of farmers from Tamil Nadu who have enrolled and are receiving financial assistance under PM Agricultural Assistance Scheme; (d) the total number of farmers who have not received/yet to receive the financial assistance under this scheme as on date; and (e) the reasons for not receiving the financial assistance by farmers from Tamil Nadu under this scheme and the time by which they will receive the financial assistance? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ(cid:874)ष एवं (cid:873)कसान क(cid:227)याण रा(cid:207)य मं(cid:287)ी (SHRI BHAGIRATH CHOUDHARY) (a): Agriculture is a State subject. Government of India is implementing a comprehensive range of Central Sector as well as Centrally Sponsored Schemes to support the States for welfare of farmers. The list of the schemes implemented by the Government to support States in agriculture is annexed. However, there is no scheme named Prime Minister’s Agriculture Assistance Scheme being implemented by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, GoI. (b) to (e): Does not arise. However, under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM - KISAN) so far a total of Rs.12,764.56 crore has been paid to eligible beneficiaries of Tamil Nadu since inception of the scheme. Rs 431.29 crore has been disbursed to 21,56,436 beneficiaries under 22nd Installment of PM-KISAN.Annexure Major schemes implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare 1.
