SHRI KARAN BHUSHAN SINGH: Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to state: (a) the total number of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) during the last five financial years and the current year in Uttar Pradesh, district wise; (b) the total number of beneficiaries who are school students/ college dropouts and unemployed in the said State, district-wise; and (c) the number of Kaushal Kendras for training established along with the steps taken by the Government to increase awareness for participation of more candidates under the scheme in the said state, district-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a) The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has been implementing the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) since 2015 to provide skill development training through Short-Term Training (STT) and upskilling/re-skilling through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to youth, including school students, college dropouts, and the unemployed, across the country. The district wise details of the number of candidates trained under PMKVY during the last five financial years and the current financial year (as on 31.10.2025) in Uttar Pradesh, is given at Annexure I. (b) The District wise details of number of candidates trained under PMKVY as per their educational qualification during the last five financial years and the current financial year (as on 31.10. 2025) in Uttar Pradesh is given at Annexure II. (c) The district wise details of the number of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs) established in Uttar Pradesh, is given at Annexure III. MSDE has undertaken various awareness campaigns and promotional activities to inform citizens about the skilling, upskilling and reskilling courses available under the PMKVY, such as: i. Comprehensive multimedia campaigns across television, radio, print, and digital platforms; periodic media briefings with vernacular, regional and national media; ii. Active engagement on social media platforms such as X, Instagram, You Tube Channel, etc. iii. Leveraging wide network of training institutes to disseminate information and encourage participation in the scheme. PMKVY awareness posters and IEC materials like posters, banners are prominently displayed on their premises to inform and mobilize potential candidates.iv. Utilizing the MSDE’s digital initiative – ‘Skill India Digital Hub’ (SIDH) and Ministry’s website, citizens can access detailed information about PMKVY courses, enroll in training programs, and locate the nearest centers where the scheme is running. v. Organising Kaushal Melas, Rozgar Melas, Kaushal Mahotsavs etc. to mobilise youth and generate awareness about training and employment opportunities. vi.
