BENEFIT OF PENSION SCHEME
410. Km. Sudha R:
Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details and numbers of persons getting the Indira Gandhi
National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) benefits, along
with the funds spent on them, year and State-wise;
(b) the details and numbers of persons getting Indira Gandhi
National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS) benefits, along with
the funds spent on them, year and State-wise;
(c) the details and numbers of persons getting the National Family
Benefit Scheme benefits, along with the funds spent on them,
year and State-wise;
(d) whether the Ministry has any plans to expand the scope of these
three schemes and include more households and benefits under
its ambit, if so, the details thereof;
(e) the details of the fund allocated under these schemes to Tamil
Nadu since 2024; and
(f) the list of beneficiaries from Mayiladuthurai Lok Sabha
Constituency?

(a) to (c): State/UT-wise number of beneficiaries (State/UT Cap) and
funds released under National Disability Pension Scheme (NDPS),
National Widow Pension Scheme (NWPS) and National Family Benefit
Scheme (NFBS) during last two years are given at Annexure-I, II and
III respectively.
(d): At present, there is no proposal under consideration to expand
the scope of these schemes.

schemes to Tamil Nadu since 2024 is given below:

Further, in FY 2026–27, mother sanctions of first installment
amounting to Rs. 11.88 crore, Rs. 106.47 crore and Rs. 18.99 crore
have been issued to Tamil Nadu under NDPS, NWPS and NFBS
respectively.
(f): State cap of beneficiaries under NDPS, NWPS and NFBS is
64096, 574258 and 18445 respectively. As per the guidelines of NSAP,
the mandate for identification/verification of beneficiaries, disbursal
of pension to beneficiaries, stoppage of pension, annual verification
of beneficiaries is with the respective States/UTs.
As informed by State Government of Tamil Nadu, there are 2635
beneficiaries under NDPS and 13015 beneficiaries under NWPS in
Mayiladuthurai Lok Sabha Constituency.
