SHRI HARISH CHANDRA MEENA Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state: (a) the details of the current capacity of biogas, bio-CNG and other bio-energy projects in the country, State-wise along with their contribution to rural employment generation and clean energy production; (b) the status of bio-energy units based on agricultural residue, cattle dung and bio-waste in Rajasthan, district-wise along with the details of the financial assistance provided and beneficiaries covered therein; and (c) the potential of the decentralised bio-energy based projects in Tonk-Sawai Madhopur Lok Sabha Constituency along with the details of the progress made so far, role of local bodies and the future action plan made thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY AND POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK) (a) The State-wise details of bioenergy projects are given at Annexure-I. These projects contribute to clean energy production, scientific management of organic waste, reduction in dependence on fossil fuels and generation of rural employment through feedstock aggregation, plant operation and allied activities. (b): The details of bioenergy projects supported by MNRE, under the Phase-I of National Bioenergy Programme (NBP) in the state of Rajasthan is given at Annexure-II. (c): As per the information provided by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) total of six bioenergy projects have been registered in the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur Lok Sabha Constituency. As per the information provided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U), the Central Financial Assistance (CFA) as Central Share (CS) funds are allocated to the States/UTs for the entire Mission period. CS funds are sanctioned/released on the basis of demand made by the State/UT in the form of complete proposals duly approved by State Committees and States are then released to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) as per the State Action Plan.
