SHRI KAUSHALENDRA KUMAR: Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state: (a) whether all the Government Primary Health Centres (PHCs) have been provided with broadband connectivity under the BharatNet project as announced in the Union Budget for the year 2025-26 and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether broadband facility has been provided to all PHCs in Bihar under the BharatNet project as announced in the Union Budget for the year 2025-26; (c) if so, the details thereof; and (d) if not, the target set for completion of the said scheme? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. PEMMASANI CHANDRA SEKHAR) (a) to (d) Under the Amended BharatNet Programme, Government has made provision for 1.5 crore Fiber to the Home (FTTH) connections in Gram Panchayats/villages across the country, with priority to cover Government institutions, including Primary Health Centres (PHCs). As on 30.06.2026, under BharatNet, a total of 2,674 rural PHCs (including 190 rural PHCs of Bihar) are connected with FTTH. ***** 1
