Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has assessed the requirement for expansion of AYUSH-based
wellness and preventive healthcare programmes including initiatives to promote community
yoga, awareness campaigns for prevention of lifestyle diseases and school-based health activities
in Amroha, Hasanpur, Dhanaura, Joya and Mandawar areas in Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh;
and
(b) if so, the details regarding the implementation, outreach coverage, institutional participation
and measurable outcomes of wellness programmes in the said areas?
ANSWER

(a) & (b) Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM), Ministry
of Ayush has approved 1034 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush) [AAM (Ayush)] in different
parts of the Uttar Pradesh including 01 AAM (Ayush) in Amroha district as per the proposals
received from State Government through State Action Plan (SAAPs) and as reported by them all
are operational.
As informed by State Government of Uttar Pradesh, the following initiatives have been
prioritized in Amroha district:
(i) Community Yoga Sessions: Regular yoga sessions are organized through Ayushman Arogya
Mandirs (Ayush) to promote physical and mental well-being.
(ii) Outreach Ayush Wellness Activities: For prevention & control of communicable, non-
communicable diseases, regular Ayush camps are being organized in Amroha.
(iii) School-based Activities: Yoga Sessions are being organized at the school level to
encourage healthy lifestyle habits among students in Amroha.
(iv) Ayush Clinical Services: Ayush services are being delivered through Ayush dispensaries
and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (Ayush). The details of beneficiaries (Patients) attended in
different Ayush facilities from April 2025 to January 2026 is furnished at Annexure-I.

Unani Dispensaries, 01 Ayushman Aarogya Mandir (Ayush) and 02 Yoga Wellness Centres
delivering Ayush Clinical & Yoga Wellness services across Hasanpur, Dhanaura, Joya, and
Mandawar. These centers provide Primary Healthcare, Prakriti Parikshan (body constitution
analysis) and daily Yoga sessions.
In Amroha, to promote Ayush initiatives in the said areas, including awareness
campaigns for the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases and school-based health activities,
monthly Ayush camps under “Ayush Aapke Dwar” campaign, are being organized in schools,
panchayat buildings, weekly markets, fairs, community centers, etc., to reach the general public
in rural areas. The details of patients treated in these camps (FY 2025-26) are furnished at
Annexure-II.
Apart from the above initiative, monthly Homeopathic camps are also being organized in
Reserve Police Lines. During December, 2025 – January, 2026, total 113 patients took Ayush
consultation in these camps. A team-based approach involving Community Health Officers
(CHOs), Ayush Medical Officers, Yoga instructors, Yoga Assistants and ASHAs ensure
grassroots-level participation.
