Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of food-processing units approved under the Creation/ Expansion of Food Processing and Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC) scheme in Western Uttar Pradesh region including Muzaffarnagar during the last five years and their current and updated status of these units and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(b) whether any proposal has been made under the CEFPPC scheme for the processing and preservation of sugarcane-based products, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH)
(a): During the last five years, a total of three food processing units have been approved under the Creation/ Expansion of Food Processing and Preservation Capacities (CEFPPC) scheme in Western Uttar Pradesh region including Muzaffarnagar. Their current and updated status is that all three units stand approved under the Scheme. The details of three projects are
as follows:
