GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF HEAVY INDUSTRIES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2760 ANSWERED ON 04.08.2026 CENTRAL PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISES UNDER THE MINISTRY OF HEAVY INDUSTRIES †2760. SHRI TANUJ PUNIA: Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) the details of total number of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Heavy Industries presently operational sick or closed down in Uttar Pradesh; (b) whether any proposal is under consideration to utilise the lands of the said closed industrial units for setting up new industrial parks or corridors; and (c) the details of the steps taken for the rehabilitation of local workers who became unemployed due to the closure of the said units? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA) (a): No Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) located in Uttar Pradesh have been closed. However, Bharat Leather Corporation Limited has been dissolved; Triveni Structurals Limited, Bharat Yantra Nigam Limited and Tannery & Footwear Corporation of India Limited are under liquidation; and Bharat Pumps & Compressors Limited and Scooters India Limited are under closure. (b): There is no such proposal with this Ministry. (c): The applicable VRS/VSS benefits and compensation package were extended to all eligible employees who were on the rolls of the Companies. *******
