CERTIFIED QUALITY WEBSITE STATUS OF MINISTRIES/DEPARTMENT
1665. SHRI MALLIKARJUN KHARGE:
Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is a fact that several Government websites have obtained Certified Quality Website
(CQW) status, if so, the details thereof, including the names of certified websites, issuing authority,
date of issuance and date of expiry of each certificate;
(b) the number of Ministries and Departments that have applied for CQW certification and the
number of applications requested, processed, approved, rejected and pending, Ministry-wise and
year-wise; and
(c) whether Government proposes to expand, revise or mandate CQW certification across all
Government websites, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): Several Government Websites have obtained CQW Certificates from STQC Directorate
as per Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW). As on 20.01.2026, STQC has
provided 150 CQW Certification which includes 116 Central Government Websites, 6 State
Government Websites, 14 PSUs Website, etc. The details of websites certified by STQC for GIGW
are available at https://stqc.gov.in/en/certified-product.
8 applications have been rejected because they were non-compliant with GIGW Guidelines.
CQW (Certified Quality Website) certification is a voluntary quality certification scheme managed
by the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate.
