This report summarizes the progress and status of Component A of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme as of June 30, 2025, based on data reported by States and Union Territories (UTs). Rajasthan has the highest installed capacity at 457.25 MW, against a sanctioned capacity of 5,250.00 MW. Madhya Pradesh has installed 52.13 MW against a sanctioned capacity of 1,790.00 MW. Himachal Pradesh has installed 100 MW against a sanctioned capacity of 100 MW. Gujarat has a sanctioned capacity of 500 MW with 0 MW installed. Several States/UTs, including Assam, Goa, Odisha, Telangana and Tripura, have reported zero installations against their sanctioned capacities.
* **Total Sanctioned Capacity:** The total sanctioned capacity under Component A across all States/UTs is 10,000.00 MW.

STATE:
(a) the details of the targets set/achievements made so far under Component A of Pradhan
Mantri - Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM), State-wise;
(b) whether the Government has made any change/increased in the minimum capacity of 0.5
MW under Component A of PM-KUSUM due to which challenges are being faced in setting
up solar plants due to increase in contribution of farmers;
(c) if so, whether the Government is contemplating to reduce the minimum capacity;
(d) the number of farmers who have installed solar power plants under Component A of the
PM-KUSUM and their capacity; and
(e) the number of farmers whose solar power plants have been made on grid under
Component C of the PM-KUSUM?

(a) PM-KUSUM scheme is a demand driven scheme. The capacities are allocated based on demand
received and progress shown by the States/UTs. The State-wise details of sanctioned capacities
and installation under Component A of PM-KUSUM Scheme is placed at Annexure I.
(b) & (c) No changes have been made in the minimum capacity for solar power plants under
Component A of the PM-KUSUM Scheme.
(d) As reported by States/ UTs, as on 30.06.2025, total of 557 solar power plants having
capacity of 638.99 MW, have been installed under Component-A of PM-KUSUM Scheme,
benefitting the farmers.
(e) As reported by States/ UTs, as on 30.06.2025, solar power plants of 2557.57 MW have been
installed under Component C of PM KUSUM Scheme, thus solarizing 5.89 lakh grid connected
agriculture pumps and benefitting the farmers with assured day time solar energy.
