(a) Under the scheme of ‘New Scheme of Petrochemicals’, the Government has approved
10 Plastic Parks and 18 Centres of Excellence in the country till date. In 2024, the
Department had approved 5 new Centres of Excellence.
(b) Total 1355 industrial Units and 5453 chemical Products have been registered on the
‘ChemIndia Portal’ as on 30.07.2025.
(c) The total number of individuals trained under various academic, skill development and
upgradation programmes of the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering &
Technology (CIPET) during the year 2024-25 is 75,763.
