Coal Supply to Jawahar Thermal Plant

Will the Minister of COAL be pleased to state:
(a) the sources/mines/coalfields from which the coal is being supplied to Jawahar Thermal
Project, Malavan situated in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh;
(b) the date, since the said supply is being made along with the quantity of coal being obtained
every year;
(c) the supply rate of this coal and the type of rate on which it is based (long term
agreement/spot rate etc.); and
(d) the grade/type of coal supplied to the project, like G10, G11, E/F grade etc.?

(a): Coal is being supplied from all the operating mines of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL)
and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) to Jawaharpur Thermal Project of Uttar Pradesh
Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL).
(b): Supply of coal to Jawahar Thermal Project commenced on 18.04.2023 from CCL. The
details of quantity of coal (year-wise) supplied by CCL and BCCL to Jawaharpur Thermal
Project are at the Annexure.
(c): Coal is supplied to Jawahar Thermal Project under the Bridge Linkage Policy, 2016 of
Ministry of Coal. Supply of coal under the Bridge Linkage is as per the rates of Coal India
Limited for Bridge Linkage coal, besides other applicable charges notified by seller and
applicable statutory levies.
(d): The details of grade/ type of coal supplied from CCL and BCCL to Jawaharpur Thermal
Project is at the Annexure.
