SHRI TARIQ ANWAR Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state : (a) whether the Government has taken note of recent international media reports and comments by foreign leaders on India's internal situation particularly on social harmony, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government has established any formal or informal contact with the concerned countries or institutions regarding these comments or reports if so, extent to which India's position on these matters has been conveyed to them; and (c) the concrete diplomatic and informative measures adopted by the Government to counter baseless and exaggerated reporting that damages India's image in presenting the "true picture of India" on global platforms? 1ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (SHRI KIRTI VARDHAN SINGH) (a to c) Government has taken note of international media reports on various aspects of India, including on the internal situation in the country. It closely monitors such reports and, as required, counters any baseless claims and assertions made about India.
