Shri Rajpalsinh Mahendrasinh Jadav: Will the Minister of COOPERATION (सहकारिता मंत्री) be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government proposes to launch a new digital App to free the country’s commercial vehicle drivers from dependency on private companies like Ola and Uber; (b) if so, the details thereof along with the name, objectives and salient features of that App; and (c) the details of the expected economic benefits of the said App to the citizens of the country particularly to the workers of the transport sector? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF COOPERATION सहकारिता मंत्री (SHRI AMIT SHAH) (a) & (b) Yes, the government proposes to launch a cooperative-led digital App mobility platform which will support to free the country's commercial vehicle drivers from dependency on private companies. This App will be operated by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited, a multi- state cooperative society, registered under the MSCS Act 2002- MSCS/CRCS/1629/2025 dt. 06 June 2025. Name of the digital app is ‘Bharat Taxi’. Salient features of the Bharat Taxi app includes user friendly mobile ride booking, transparent fare, vehicle tracking, support for multi lingual interfaces and 24/7 customer services to enhance accessibility, secure and verified onboarding, inclusive mobility, tech enabled support and safety measures to the citizens.
