WILL THE MINISTER OF NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY BE PLEASED TO
STATE:
(a) whether Pradhan Mantri - Kirshi Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-
KUSUM) has been implemented with the aim of increasing farmers' income and reducing
dependence on diesel/traditional electricity;
(b) if so, the number of units/pumps approved and installed under Component-A (Grid-
Connected Solar Plants) and Component-B (Off- Grid Solar Pumps) in Rajasthan along with
the details of total capacity (MW/HP) and expenditure incurred, year-wise;
(c) the details of the number of applications approved, under progress and completed under
PM-KUSUM in all blocks of the, block-wise along with the installed solar capacity (HP/kWp)
and the grants provided, block-wise;
(d) whether a large number of applications are pending/have been rejected due to financial,
technical or DISCOM-related reasons and if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the details of Government's time-bound action plan for their speedy disposal and
prioritizing the remaining eligible farmers?

(a) Yes.
(b) The PM KUSUM Scheme is a demand-driven scheme, and capacities are allocated based on
the demand raised by the state and milestones achieved. The progress and fund released to the
state of Rajasthan under PM KUSUM is placed at Annexure I.
(c) As reported by State Implementing Agency (SIA) of Rajasthan, the progress under Tonk-
Sawai Madhopur Lok Sabha Constituency is as follow:

(d) The SIA reported that around 582 MW, i.e. 5% of total awarded capacities are cancelled due
to delay by the developers in signing of Power Purchase Agreements within the stipulated or
extended timelines of the guidelines.
(e) The Ministry is conducting periodic review and handholding meetings with the implementing
states for speedy implementation of the scheme. This includes Regional Workshops on RE,
including Jaipur, with state public representatives.
As reported by the SIA, the state has also implemented ‘One Stop Solutions’ and issued Standard
Operating Procedures for timely implementation of scheme. The state has also setup dedicated
‘Helpdesk’ for timely resolution and verification of documents.
