* Anuppur: 1.00 lakh connections, with 0.59 lakh to SC/ST category.
* Umaria: 0.73 lakh connections, with 0.29 lakh to SC/ST category.
* Shahdol: 1.48 lakh connections, with 0.69 lakh to SC/ST category.
* Katni: 2.00 lakh connections, with 0.75 lakh to SC/ST category.
LPG Distribution Network:
* Total of 25,573 LPG distributorships across the country.
* 17,646 distributorships serve rural areas.
* These are served through 213 LPG bottling plants of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
* 7997 distributorships commissioned from 01.04.2016 to 30.06.2025 to improve rural access.
* 7403 cater to rural areas (1033 Rurban, 4991 Gramin, 1379 Durgam Kshetriya Vitraks and Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak DKVRGGLV).

(a) the target for releasing connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana;
(b) the total number of beneficiaries as well as connections issued so far thereunder across the
country including Madhya Pradesh and its Bhind and Datia districts and Shahdol Lok Sabha
Constituency as well as Chhattisgarh along with the number of such connections issued to the
persons belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category till June 2025; and
(c) the total number of distribution networks available under the said yojana across the country,
including Kanker and Balod districts of Chhattisgarh along with the number of said distribution

(a) to (c): Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was launched in May, 2016 with an
objective to provide deposit free LPG connection to adult women from poor households across
the country. The target to release 8 crore connections under PMUY was achieved in September
2019. To cover the remaining poor households, Ujjwala 2.0 was launched in August 2021 with a
target to release 1 crore additional PMUY connections, which was achieved in January 2022.
Subsequently, the Government decided to release 60 lakh more LPG connections under Ujjwala
2.0 and the target of 1.60 crore Ujjwala 2.0 connections was also achieved during December
2022. Further, Government approved release of additional 75 lakh connections under PMUY
scheme which was also achieved by July 2024. As on 01.07.2025, there are 10.33 crore PMUY
connections across the country.
Details of LPG connections, under PMUY, in the State of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh and
Bhind, Datia Districts and Shahdol Lok Sabha Constituency of Madhya Pradesh ( which covers
entire Anuppur and Umaria districts and parts of Shahdol and Katni districts), alongwith under
SCs/STs category are at Annexure-A.
As of July 01, 2025, there are a total of 25,573 LPG distributorships across the country, out of
which 17,646 are serving rural areas. These are served through 213 LPG bottling plant of Oil
Marketing Companies (OMCs) located across the country. In order to improve access of LPG in
rural and remote areas, OMCs have commissioned 7997 distributorships, during 01.04.2016 to
30.06.2025 across the country, out of which 7403 (i.e. 93 %) [Rurban- 1033, Gramin- 4991,
Durgam Kshetriya Vitraks and Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak (DKV+RGGLV) - 1379] are
catering to rural areas.

are at Annexure- B.
