Executive Summary & Key Takeaways

**Summary:** This document summarizes the response provided by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 4065, concerning the incomplete construction of a 2-3 kilometer stretch of National Highway No. 752E (Paithan-Pandharpur Palkhi Marg) near Dongarkinhi village in Patoda Taluka, Beed District. The primary reason for the delay is the lack of forest clearance. Specifically, the National Highways Department, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, submitted a proposal on January 4, 2021, through the online Parivesh portal, seeking forest land use for the highway construction. This proposal was subsequently withdrawn by the User Agency. As of August 18, 2025 (the date of the response), the State Forest Department of Maharashtra has not received any fresh proposal regarding this road construction project. Therefore, the issuance of necessary clearances for completing the Palkhi Marg is pending the submission of a new proposal.
