cooperative societies in the Bhagalpur District of Bihar State, out of which 728 cooperative
societies are functional.
(b) To strengthen Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), the Government has
launched the Central Sector Project for Computerization of PACS, in 2022. Government of
India initially approved 63,000 PACS under Project of Computerization of functional PACS
with a total financial outlay of ₹2,516 Crore which has now been increased up to ₹2925.39
Crore covering 79,630 PACS which entails bringing these functional PACS onto an ERP
(Enterprise Resource Planning) based common national software, linking them with
NABARD through State Cooperative Banks (StCBs) and District Central Cooperative Banks
(DCCBs). The State-wise details of computerization of PACS and the financial assistance
provided under the Scheme are attached at Annexure-1 and Annexure-2, respectively.

strengthened as on 15.07.2026 across the country since the approval of the plan on 15.2.2023.
(d) The Ministry of Cooperation, since its inception on 06.07.2021, has undertaken
several initiatives to realize the vision of “Sahakar-se-Samriddhi” and for the digitalization

(CRCS), computerization of Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) offices in States/UTs
under a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit
