Will the Minister of COMMUNICATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is planning to open new post offices in rural areas of Maharashtra
especially in tribal and backward areas of Bhiwandi region;
(b) if so, the details thereof, district-wise;
(c) the details of the number of post offices in Maharashtra connected to Core Banking Solution
(CBS) so far, district-wise;
(d) whether the branches of "India Post Payment Bank" have been opened in all the districts of
Maharashtra; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(d) & (e) Yes, sir. Branches of "India Post Payment Bank" have been opened in all districts of
Maharashtra. The details of district-wise branches of "India Post Payment Bank" opened in
Maharashtra are enclosed as Annexure-II.
