Shri Virendra Singh Will the Minister of Coal be pleased to state (a) whether the Government is aware of corruption being committed by issuing Despatch Orders (DOs) for inferior quality coal and then providing them with better quality coal; (b) if so, the number of traders prosecuted so far and the number of people imprisoned; (c) whether the Government is likely to stop the smuggling of quality coal through fake DOs in the Shahupuri area of Chandauli district in Uttar Pradesh; (d) if so, the time by which the smuggling through fake DOs would be prevented; and (e) if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COAL AND MINES (SHRI SATISH CHANDRA DUBEY) (a) No corruption case of supplying high grade coal against the Dispatch Order (DO) for low grade coal has been established in the Ministry.
