(a) to (e) There is no Cycling League of India under the Fit India Movement. However, the Fit India Movement promotes cycling and active lifestyles through the nationwide Sundays on Cycle (SoC) campaign, launched on 17th December, 2024, which is a non- competitive, mass participation fitness campaign aimed at encouraging citizens to adopt cycling as a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Since its inception, the initiative has evolved into a nationwide movement, engaging over 36 lakh cycling enthusiasts and reaching more than 7 crore citizens across India, through on-ground activities, social media outreach and public engagement campaigns. Further, the primary responsibility for the development and promotion of a specific sports discipline, including evaluation of performance and taking corrective measures, rests with the concerned recognized National Sports Federation (NSF), which in the case of cycling is the Cycling Federation of India (CFI). The Government supplements the efforts of the NSFs, including the Cycling Federation of India by providing financial assistance for holding national/international sports events in India, participation of sportspersons/teams in international sports events abroad, training/coaching of national level sportspersons/teams through Indian and foreign coaches, wholesome nutritious diet, equipment, state-of-the-art infrastructure, lodging, travelling facilities, scientific & medical support, sports kit, etc. CFI has informed that the Cycling League of India is at a nascent stage and no event has been conducted by it under the said League so far. At present, there is no proposal under consideration of CFI for organizing any event under the Cycling League of India in Nabarangpur Lok Sabha Constituency, Odisha. ****** Page 3 of 3
