Delay in Opening of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Uttar Pradesh

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that ten PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras were sanctioned for
the district of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh but only three Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been
started by the concerned agencies to which the said centres were allocated;
(b) if so, the reasons for delay in opening of remaining seven Jan Aushadhi Kendras and the
date by which the remaining centres are likely to be started; and
(c) whether the Government has been taken any concrete action to monitor and fix
responsibility in this regard and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Bureau of India, which is the implementing
agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana, has informed that as on date it
has approved a total of 27 Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Bahraich district and all the Kendras have
started operations.
