GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1930 TO BE ANSWERED ON 10.03.2026 Demand for inpatient AYUSH facilities in Raigad 1930 # Shri Dhairyashil Mohan Patil: Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that, despite the provisions of the National Ayush Mission (NAM), no functional In-Patient Department (IPD) facility for Ayush services is available in Raigad district; (b) whether Government proposes to establish an integrated Ayush hospital in Raigad district to provide inpatient, diagnostic, and specialist services under one roof; (c) if so, the details of proposed infrastructure, sanctioned funds, and expected timeline for operationalisation; and (d) if not, the reasons therefor along with the alternative measures being undertaken to ensure comprehensive Ayush health services in the district? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) As reported by the State Government of Maharashtra Co-located Ayush facility is available at District Hospital and Sub District /Rural Hospital in Raigad district and IPD services are provided for Ayurved and Unani stream through Panchkarma & Illaj bid Tadbir. (b) to (d) Public Health being a State subject, establishment of Integrated Ayush Hospital in Raigad district comes under the purview of respective State Government. However, under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Nation Ayush Mission (NAM) there is a provision of financial assistance for establishment of 50/30/10-bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital. Accordingly, State Government may avail financial assistance by submitting suitable proposal through State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) as per the provision of NAM guidelines. Further, as reported by State Government at present Ayurved, Unani, Homoeopathy and Yoga related services are made available to the public at co-located Ayush wing in District Hospital Raigad as well as 05 Sub-district hospitals & 03 Rural Hospitals. *****
