ADV GOWAAL KAGADA PADAVI: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) the details of jaggery exports since 2021-22 till date, State and year-wise; (b) the percentage of total sugarcane production diverted for ethanol production since 2014, year-wise; (c) the details of sugarcane utilised for sugar production, jaggery production and ethanol production since 2021-22 till date, State/UT and year-wise; (d) whether the Government has assessed the likely impact of the draft Sugarcane (Control) Order, 2026 on employment and livelihoods in the khandsari and jaggery sector, if so, the details thereof; (e) whether the Government is aware of concerns raised by farmer organisations and Jaggery producers regarding the increasing diversion of sugarcane towards ethanol production and its impact on India's traditional sugar economy; and (f) if so, the steps the Government has taken to address these concerns? (b) & (c): No Separate data regarding diversion of sugarcane for ethanol and sugar production is provided by State Governments. Sugar mills may use the same sugarcane for sugar and ethanol production. However, based on the comments/suggestions received from the State Governments and others stakeholders, it was considered necessary to revisit the Draft Sugarcane (Control) Order, 2026, hence, the same was withdrawn on 29th May 2026. (e) to (f): As reported by Department of Food and Public Distribution, no such representations have been received.
