Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the Government is finalizing an incentive scheme worth Rs.3,500 to Rs.5,000 crore
for boosting domestic production of rare earth minerals and magnets;
(b) if so, the key objectives of the scheme and how it aims to reduce India’s reliance on critical
imports, particularly from China;
(c) the details of sectors that are expected to benefit from increased availability of rare earth
minerals, such as electric mobility, electronics and renewable energy;
(d) whether the scheme promotes public-private-partnerships and indigenous technology for
rare earth extraction and magnet manufacturing; and
(e) if so, the manner in which this initiative aligns with the Government’s broader vision of
Atmanirbhar Bharat and strategic resource security?
