SHRI BALASHOWRY VALLABHANENI: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the date on which the project to provide drainage, sewage and septage management in Machilipatnam city with an estimated cost of Rs. 12 crore in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh was proposed; (b) whether the said project is still in progress and not yet completed and if so, the details thereof and the reasons for the delay along with the time by which it is likely to be completed; and (c) whether there is any cost and time overrun of the project and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (c): Under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), 01 sewerage/ septage management project worth ₹10.87 crore and 02 drainage projects worth ₹11.09 crore & ₹7.93 crore respectively has been approved during the financial year 2016-17 in Machilipatnam city. As reported by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, all 03 projects are at implementation stage. The State Government has also informed that the delay occurred due to Covid pandemic, non-availability of raw materials/ labour.
