5147. SHRI SHYAMKUMAR DAULAT BARVE:
Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether, despite of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, there has been a significant increase in the seizure of narcotic drugs over the last three years at major ports of the country, particularly in State of Gujarat and Maharashtra, as well as from border areas and if so, the details of the countries of origin of such seized consignments;
(b) whether intelligence agency reports have confirmed that Pakistan sponsored narco-terrorism is being used to channel drug-generated funds to finance terrorist activities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab;
(c) the manner in which anti-drone technology adopted to curb crossborder smuggling of narcotics through drones has been effective and the number of drones neutralized/destroyed during the last one year; and
(d) whether the Government has identified major international drug mafia kingpins and taken stringent action against them and if so, the number of such kingpins punished during the last three years ? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI NITYANAND RAI)
(a) Details of drugs seized under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at major ports including Gujarat and Maharashtra by all Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (DLEAs) as reported to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during last three years (2023 to 2025) is at-2- L.S.US.Q.NO. 5147 FOR 24.03.2026 Annexure-I. Details of quantity of drugs seized along bordering States by all Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (DLEAs) as reported to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during last three years (2023 to 2025) is at Annexure-II.
(b) As per information available, foreign based elements are involved in facilitating narco terrorism by pushing narcotics across the border to generate funds for financing terrorist activities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.
(c) During the year 2025, 292 numbers of Drones/ Unmanned Aerial Vehicle seized/ recovered along Indo-Pakistan border.
(d) 66 fugitives wanted in drug related cases have been identified. A total of 24 Red Notices and 25 Blue Notices were published in respect of these fugitives. Further, five fugitives were successfully deported from United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Sri Lanka in 2025.
