Shri Sasikanth Senthil: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether employment generated under the Viksit Bharat– Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB–G RAM- G) varies in States; (b) if so, the details of households demanding work, households provided employment and person-days generated since implementation of the said programme, State-wise; (c) whether any wage payments are pending, if so, the amount and period of pendency along with the reasons therefor, State-wise; (d) whether the Government has assessed the adequacy of funds in relation to the demand for employment under the programme; and (e) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken to ensure timely wage payments and adequate availability of funds, State-wise including Tamil Nadu? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI KAMLESH PASWAN) (a) & (b): Employment generated under the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) varies across the States/UTs depending upon factors such as demand for wage employment, availability of eligible workers seeking employment, agro-climatic conditions, local development priorities and timely execution of approved works in accordance with the provisions of the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025. State/UTs-wise details of households employment demanded, offered and persondays generated under the VB-G RAM G Scheme during the period from 01st July, 2026 to 23rd July, 2026 are given at Annexure-I. Page 1 of 4(c) to (e): The budgetary allocation of ₹ 95,692.31 made for the VB- G RAM G Scheme, for FY-2026-27 (for the period from 01.07.2026 to 31.03.2027) is among the largest allocation ever made at the Budget Estimate Stage for any rural employment scheme in history of the country. Further a normative allocation of ₹ 95,692.31 crore has already been done among States/UTs and mother sanctions amounting to ₹ 25495.32, as first instalment, have also been issued. This will help in providing statutory guarantee of one hundred and twenty five days of wage employment to every household whose adult members volunteer to undertake unskilled manual work. States/UTs have also been requested to expeditiously utilize the sanctioned fund and ensure timely payment of wages to the workers. In so far as the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) scheme is concerned, as of date, no dues pertaining to any of the States/ UTs are pending.
